Hi! you did good. I love to watch you paint. I havent done any painting lately I take that back I did a painting from a post card of Nantucket, Massachusetts. It came out nicely, but the more I look at it I may redo it.

You made the common mistake of assuming that a form shadow on a cylinder gets progressively darker all the way around. Look again at your reference photo. Also, it looks like the shadow as painted gets darker where it is in the shade of both the cylinder and the awning. With one light source and no reflected light, either something is in shade or it isn't. So paint the shadows flat, even when they turn or combine. I know I come off as rude. Sorry. This might help someone. Feel free to ignore it.

This is very similar to my last painting which involved a barn and silo-I taped off all the straight lines and If took forever. I like the way you just paint your lines and they look great. Excellent explanation of linear perspective. Great work as always enjoyed it very much thank you.
